CurlyRed's top albums of 2008

Music is exciting once again in 2008. I didn't get to attend as many live shows as I'd like, but did discover many new artists and sounds. I'm especially excited to be part of a band myself this year called Siberiana and to be a small part of the exciting things that are happening in the Baltimore music scene. Anyway, on with the list:

Honorable Mentions:

Santogold - Santogold
Beck - Modern Guilt
Nine Inch Nails - The Slip
The Black Keys - Attack & Release
Keane - Perfect Symmetry

Favorite Song of the Year: American Boy (feat.
Kanye West) by Estelle

Top 5:

5.
Coldplay - Viva la Vida or Death and All His Friends

4. Of Montreal - Skeletal
Lamping

3. The Ting Tings - We Started Nothing

2. The Raconteurs -
Consolers of the Lonely (also my favorite live act this year)

and *drum roll*

1.
Sigur Rós - Með Suð Í Eyrum Við Spilum Endalaust

Enjoy and Happy New Year :)
